There are a LOT of people on #nostr who stuck their flags in to mark their territory a year or more ago, and most of them are still spewing guides for newbies with outdated info. Thanks to those who keep up-to-date, because with btc and blockchain tech moving as fast as it does, and gaining more adopters rapidly, it's important to keep up w/apps, wallets, etc. as many of them either change policies or their devs drop off the face of the earth.
