The more I think about it, the more I realize Bitcoin is an involuntary wealth redistribution scheme.
Normally revolutions don’t happen for light and transient reasons, but it’s not clear to me what caused bitcoin to take hold so quickly. Something tells me it’s not just the properties of Bitcoin or the nature of fiat itself to account for this.
Revolutions in general correct some injustice. Maybe it was one too many banker bail outs. Or confiscatory taxation enabled by editing the constitution to permit non per capita taxation.
I think historians will wrestle with this question one day.
