This is how it's done! President Javier Milei (the new President of Argentina who has been described as a right-wing libertarian) has just passed Articulo 209.
The Governmental can no longer use the word "FREE" to promote any state service or function.
Why? Because FREE is a lie. There is no such thing as free, someone else always has to pay.
Here in Australia we are already taxed to our eye balls for all the supposedly "FREE" stuff everyone gets. Have you looked at your taxes lately?
It's not just taxes. It's levies, duties, excises, surcharges, fees, tariffs, rates etc. It never ends.
Imagine if this was implemented here!! How quickly things would change.
I would like to go one step further, instead of Government promising whatever they want to get elected and to fool the masses they should instead be forced to detail exactly how much everything they promise is going to cost each taxpayer individually. Dollars per taxpayer is the kind of disclosure we should expect.
Our government has become far too big. What we need is a massive cut to the size and power of government, a repeal of as much legislation as possible and to set the free market, free.
Government is not the solution, government is the problem.
