I'm not sure how everyone else classifies pain, but 7 and 8 for me is when it's inpairing congnative tasks. Enough pain where thinking is difficult.

9 and 10s, are uncontroable expressions of pain.

I seem to have a threshold where I seem oddly calm, and above that threshold, there's screaming and sobbing. People seem to expect some other sort of signs of pain. 🤷‍♀️
I'm motivated to stay calm and still when in pain.
