You empowered the violent far-left and Antifa in your first term due to your shared enemy in the Trump administration. You had the city partner with radical groups (e.g., OJRC, Western States Center, CAIR) to launder their extremist ideas into public institutions.
But then Antifa turned their violence on to you and your family anyway when you reached the limits of your usefulness to them. You were able to move away but everyone else without those resources stayed and experienced the city burn night after night. Some people died.
