If only they had simply made mandatory the “domain lock” (to disable to allow the move of the domain), and also made mandatory the WHOIS privacy (even for a price), it would have been a lot better.

But I guess it allows us to maintain a blocklist of TLDs now (I block many TLDs by default and use $denyallow to whitelist some of them). (Yes i use adguard based dns filter)
