I think that was a smart move, since her book is taken out of context and is used to justify the trans attitude that they are being "targeted for genocide" by radfems. She has spoken in support of GC feminists. I think for her and others of her generation, she risks torpedoing projects that are near to her heart every time she talks about this issue. Raymond has done a lot of campaigning against the sex trade. I'm sure it breaks her heart to jeopardize this work. It's probably a reason other 2nd wave feminists have stayed quiet. Or worse, appeased the flaccid dick mob when cornered. All of these US 2nd wave feminists who are still alive and public are pressured by TRAs to endorse them or face consequences.
