LeatherMint (npub1v0t…3m3e) had a good note about this the other day. I can’t find it but I think the TLDR was that there is a higher standard which sellers have to meet for parting with their bitcoin (not taking into account spend and replace)
It doesn’t matter how many merchants/artists/etc. accept bitcoin payments if nobody ever spends their sats. Bitcoin is money. Spend and save it accordingly.
