At this point, yes! Here's my initial adaptation.

I always make notes each time I make it, and adjust the recipe a bit the next time.
But today's soup (made yesterday, squash roasted the day before) is more or less like the original. Basically 4 parts squash : 2 parts pears : 1.5 parts onion. Can adjust toward sweet or savory with those ratios, and with liquid - e.g. veggie stock v. apple cider - and spices/seasonings.
