If you ever put Plex into a docker you'll need to solve that same issue though. In my docker config this is what I have
devices:
- /dev/dri:/dev/dri
I use an Intel GPU and I think it's different for Nvidia.. what is your GPU and docker config? That said I run both but still use Plex because it's easier in practice to share with others and since they are more familiar with it we use it at home also.
