We have a backyard we can't do anything with. I want to make up for this by buying things like birdseed and whole nuts, and feeding birds and squirrels and such where I feel I can get away with it: sprinkling some in the grassy areas outside our house and carrying some with me when we go out and such. In particular when we come over to the other side there's a Dunkin Donuts where we stop sometimes that always has a lot of birds, and we decided they needed better to eat than donuts and bagels. 1
