#Vegetables, by Antonio Carluccio
Antonio has written dozens of books since the late 1990's - incredibly prolific.
This book (hardcover) is delicious, in that it is very tactile as well as visually beautiful. The cover has some texture, and the pages are wonderfully silky.
Antonio loves the warming and sweeter spices - cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg. They are interesting in the green tomato jam but I found the nutmeg and cinnamon too sweet in the butternut risotto (butternut is already so sweet). Perhaps that is more for the American tastes.
However his sweet and sour pumpkin is amazing and I might make it for xmas.
Not a vegetarian book, although most dishes are without meat (and mostly void of other proteins except a chapter on beans and pulses).
