My sweet boy Pörri has developed anxiety and hides whenever there's a loud sound, he hears a door being closed, when I open the balcony door, vacuum, open a cardboard box, curse...
I've been implementing a strict regimen of cuddling him for at least an hour every day when he allows it, and now he seeks my lap out to sit on in the evenings. It seems to be working.

I wonder if being intensely cuddled while repeatedly being proven that nothing bad is happening would work on human anxiety, too.
