"content": "My HP 4957A will not show half-intensity video, although it shows up fine if you hook up an external monitor. This is important because the menus are all half-intensity, so it's not really usable as-is. I thought maybe it was a firmware mismatch so downgraded the ROMs, but that didn't help. Sadly this instrument was made after HP became evil and there is zero technical info available (other than CuriousMarc's site, where I got the ROM images). Anyway, sucks.
