I can tell you one remote-speaker thing I really didn't like: "record your talk in advance, we'll play the video, then there'll be live Q&A." For one thing, I'm just better live. For another, if I wanted to watch video I wouldn't be at a synchronous conference, yanno?
In contrast, Library Publishing Forum let me speak live and had a whole separate live session for "talk to the keynoters." It was cool!
