Hehe. I stubbornly lived in laptop+dumbphone land until I moved to China.
It's hard to navigate in an unfamiliar place where you don't speak the language, without a map that fits in your pocket (OSMAnd+ is great), and has location services in case you lose track of where you are.
Once I got one, I soon started to discover all the other things they're useful for, that can't be replaced with a laptop.
