Many of the things we build, such as roads, bridges, dams, and power plants, are based on a climate we no longer live in. They are designed using historical data that does not reflect the current and future realities of extreme weather, sea level rise, and temperature changes. We need to rethink how we design and construct our infrastructure and make it more resilient and adaptable to the changing climate.
