I was obsessed with rock tumblers when I was a kid. I begged my mom for one for like 6mo, and she finally got it for me for my 9th birthday. Tumbling rocks became my obsession for like a year. Then I developed other interests and sorts put the tumbler on the shelf. I'd still use it once or twice a year pretty much til I was 18, but I had a tendency to get really into something, and then once it went through my system, I'd get bored with it and move on to something else.
