I think the cat listens for when I am talking to people at my computer to jump on my lap. Maybe I am more likely to just sit and pet him when I am in a meeting, rather than ignore him and type around him.

Personally I am here for it, because it means that I get to derail all my meetings while someone goes "OMG CAT" and I think we could use more of that in our work lives.
