Making them cheaper to use is about driving mass adoption as quickly as possible (attempting to manifest the "inevitability" mantra), not because they're actually more energy-efficient. None of these companies have been forthcoming about their energy requirements beyond pushing for more investment and data centers to keep them afloat.
