Ateast it looks like it fails fast. Had a ton of issues with my server box at one point, ram would test fine in a memtest loop for days, until day 6, then it would fail. Always day 6.
Have duplicate spare parts, so built the spare system out on a table to keep testing trying to find the solution (bad stick, bad slot, poor environment, etc). Lot of testing for 128gigs on Supermicro dual Xeon boards, so many sticks, so many slots, so many days till failure.
