You know, it is often said that social media is faux connection, and I have often agreed with that.

But I don't feel that way about Mastodon. I am fooling myself?

I think the non-competitive, non popularity contest nature of it makes it a much richer and more supportive experience.

I feel like I get to be myself and that's sufficient, where as I always felt unsure elsewhere.

I'm sure I've said it before in previous posts, but I'm always pleasantly surprised it continues to be the case here as time marches on.
