We also exclude copyleft-licensed code due to uncertainty regarding the community’s stance on using such data for LLM training and its relatively low volume.

If distributing copyleft code from an LLM violates the license, distributing permissive code from an LLM also violates the license. People seem to erroneously think that permissive = public domain. It does not. Permissive licenses have terms that language models do not follow.
