online services for school will only make sense once governments start providing fully personal (i.e., not borrowed) devices to low income people, since borrowed devices are a privacy violation, and not having one at all puts them at a disadvantage
frankly the fact governments don't give at least phones to low income people *in general* (not just for education) yet is absurd lol, it's pretty much completely unfeasible to live in a developed country without one right now
a basic degree of technology access is not a luxury, it's a *right*
