"content": "Some context: I'm pretty active within the world of Python community organizers. The angle that I haven't seen brought up as much: the PSF's actions and endorsements have real power that extend beyond the PSF itself. Community organizers throw around the question \"what does PyCon US do?\" *a lot* when they have decisions to make. A PSF Fellowship is a pretty strong signal that someone would be a great addition to a Python community (of which there are many).",
