to me its wild how obsessed i used to be with the attention i was getting during that first year of people moving in from twitter. i have never been the type of person who would melt over the idea of people fawning over me or wanting my attention. i am not surprised i eventually grew to hate it. abandoning my old account when it hit 1.5k followers was something i really needed to do. i feel like that was the tipping point when people started treating me more like everyone else. fedi has been such a wild ride for me
