I’m 110% supportive of people hacking up all the services run by Big Tech. Finding unsupported functionality, workarounds, undocumented APIs, etc are a time honored tradition that is super important.
But starting a company around that? And then pretending that you’re surprised when your hackery isn’t appreciated by the company you’re trying to give the middle finger to? Give me a break.
It’s like if youtube-dl raised a seed around and made a blog post saying “We don’t understand why YouTube doesn’t like us!”
It’s their servers. They can tell you how they should be used. If you don’t like it then use something else. This is the reality. The answer isn’t to convince Big Tech to be better. The answer is to tell Big Tech to go to hell.
