It is ironic that the 1% likely know that the root cause of our crises is all of us, that it is the core model of current civilization. They likely know how oil drives most of it. Our childish finger-pointing, and unwillingness to consider the other four fingers is simply monetized. True, to understand that and simply monetize it is cynical; however, we are acting like children. Most with the experience, education, intellectual ability and fortitude to see the four fingers are comfortable.
