I was reading someone from Hong Kong talk to someone from the Midwest about how 'not taking off shoes' is super rude in one culture and 'taking off shoes' is super rude' in another
(Personally I will really physically and mentally recoil at the idea of *not* taking off shoes, but I get that people have different perspectives)
