Sorry for the confusion, Sign-in with Mastodon is for easily joining a Pixelfed instance using your Mastodon avatar, bio, display name, username and accounts you follow.
You can also use it to link to an existing account for faster sign-in.
You cannot use your Mastodon account as a Pixelfed account, they are separate. We may support that in the future 😉
