The evidence for it is strong, but hard to experience directly unless you travel to New Zealand, but it seems like ozone hole denialism only came about more recently as a subset of climate change denialism? Like, changing the hairsprays in order to stop the hole from growing wasn't at all controversial at the time, but people are complaining about it NOW?
