Our washing machine is broken.
As a student I collected and repaired washing machines.
This should be a trivial task to open it, re-order the parts, and do the replacement myself.
It’s a Bosch, a pretty well respected brand, but it’s not field repairable anymore.
The repair co has a backlog of at least 2 weeks, and will cost at least €300 just for somebody to come and look at it. I will have to pay 200€ for the pump alone, and more for the labour.
A new one is around 550€ and will arrive in 2 days.
I am so profoundly angry at the grotesque waste deliberately caused by capitalism.
What the fuck is wrong with every single big company in the world?
