A lot in those parentheses (characteristics, abilities, skills, etc), maybe it's not what you mean.
But imo stats implemented as a narrow closed set of features have a sense on their own, just as characterization -- quick to grasp as an overview, and very detailed (750 = "strong", even slightly stronger than that other strong character with 745).
The calculated bonus values are usually too numerous to serve this function.
But if you mean different "stats", then maybe bad...
