Here's a map of Essex and Kent made in Poland in 1957, with the place names spelt out phonetically.
It was made in case the Warsaw Pact countries invaded England.
I'm learning a lot about Polish spelling from this map. I'm also learning that I'm less familiar with Kentish geography than I'd thought.
