Apart from Bolt12, one more feature of this week's release deserves to be highlighted:
👉 "Any amount chain swaps" 👈
What this means is: you can now send any amount into a chain swap and as long as it's within our min/max range, Boltz will process the swap.
This is nice for flexibility (just send vs. decide how much first) but also fixes a major UX issue of boltz.exchange users:
- if you accidentally sent too little: your swap still processes with the actually sent amount (instead of failing) and
- if you accidentally sent too much: your swap processes with the sent amount (instead of you losing out on the overpaid amount)
Two of the most common reasons for failed swaps and support tickets 🤓
DISCLAIMER: only works for chain swaps, not for swaps with Lightning involved
Also, we just pushed out a new Boltz Client release implementing Bolt12 and any amount chain swaps.
