New rule: you are not allowed to compare Python packaging to another ecosystem unless that other ecosystem regularly has to work with and ship C, Fortran, and Rust code as if it was native to the ecosystem.
Other new rule: you don't get to come in and say Python packaging needs to be entirely scrapped and started from scratch unless you're willing to do the work to make that happen; that work includes designing, coding, and getting the community on side w/ your plan.
