I recently learned that in XVIII century the place I live was a farming village. And it was one of fifty villages under jurisdiction of just one town. And it looks like this town was around 4 hours by foot away from furthest of these villages today. So I guess it was a little more then. On one hand maybe it is nice proportion for someone's #hexcrawl but I wonder about #feudalism. How much of such distance was part of oppression?
