Lee Sedol, the reigning Go world champion, played Alpha Go in March of 2016 during the DeepMind Challenge.
This triggered a major shift in thinking around Ai, as Alpha Go defeated Lee Sedol to became the greatest Go player on earth.
However...
Alpha Go lost 1 out of the 5 games.
This video shows the moment that Lee Sedol made a move against the machine that turned the tide. Following the move, the computer took a dive in RAM usage and started making weird, random moves, suggesting that it had simply played out every possible option, and realized that there was no way out.
My favorite comment underneath it (that should be used ina. movie one day):
---- "If humanity ever has to rise up against ai overlords in the future, the resistance force should be named "Move 78""
