Facebook Groups serve a purpose for many. It also discarded the most importance affordances offorums, making extended threads for large populations difficult Forums track what you have read & displays only threads you have selected, starting with the last posts you read. FB groups promote the most recent post to the top. With hundreds or more, threads can get buried in minutes. If there was a way to workaround this, or a hidden affordance, I didn't find it. #OnlineCommunities #socialmedia
