ConscientiousPoster (npub1ktn…9aht) Just a shot in the dark, but I imagine familial/community structure influenced a lot more than we think genetically. NE Asians live in dense communities, usually multigenerational, and rarely moving as far as I can tell. Europeans on the other hand, even ancient ones live in more sparse/lightly populated areas and are quite mobile. The tradition of sending young men out of the home to establish themselves existed thousands of years ago. I think this has a large effect on selection of traits. European men would've been under much harsher selection to perform and as a result created a culture of higher standards, these higher standards being applied to women would've often had a focus on looks. Therefore aggressive selection for traits like blue eyes and blond hair when they appear among many other things. Asians on the other hand , as a result of stagnant communities, seem to have more of a culture of "just getting along" which I think would lower standards for such things quite a bit.
