Thanks for the feedback. I've stayed away from Lightning bc of its layer 2 control status - and this headache to literally concert some BTC to pay a small LBTC fee for a paid relay without compromising privacy (or needing to go through hoops to protect it via fake email addresses, VPN, credit cards to buy hardware, etc.
It seems right as planned that the easy solutions are the custodial (like Wallet of Satoshi with email) ones and that blows my mind.
We are supposed to be taking this stuff seriously. Lightning fofirms me to what it is: another control mechanism and compromise of principals in the interest of control and convenience.
