This is the first time I've heard about Haul, Amazon's answer to Temu. But the stories coming off its launch are a bit predictable.
Notably, the use of poorly-generated AI images isn't surprising in the least. Amazon has allowed poorly photoshopped product images to proliferate on their site for years. It's prevalent enough that it was the easiest tell for me to identify potentially shoddy products when I used to shop on Amazon.
