It's a cliche among developers: I made a note taking app
~ http://Flownotes.ai ~
I've always struggled with wrapping my head around the complexity of note taking apps like Notion, so I just built my own.
Flownotes asks a simple question: What's on your mind?
The Problem: Capturing ideas as quickly as possible.
Got something on your mind? The average Flownote takes < 5 secs to write and save. Apple notes takes at least 30 secs to get something on paper.
Note taking apps like Notion or Apple notes force you to put your ideas into a box: folders, pages, groups, titles, workspaces... I don't like any of it.
In Flownotes, everything is a note. There's no hierarchy, it's all unorganized, but the NLP+AI adds categorical tags to notes to contextualize your ideas. You can browse chronologically or by topic.
Plus, it has ChatGPT fully integrated. Voice Recording + Transcription and Image Generation are in beta. It supports Markdown too!
The web version is available at http://flownotes.ai
The mobile app is in Test Flight (dm me)
The code is open-source https://github.com/nspeer12/flownotes-web
I'd appreciate feedback!
