The bias of experience is everywhere.
News outlets/reporters assume that unless they know about it, it doesn't happen.
Social media amplifies this as only events/opinions/worlds we hear about exist.
COVID-19 is an example. During the pandemic reporters demanded to know why we weren't doing anything, then demanded to know why we didn't do it sooner then promoted fears (misdirected at mRNA vaccines)
And now almost nothing in the news and many think no one is dying from COVID anymore.
