Idly musing: what would it take to be able to use #Emacs as a real launcher on #swaywm? All the pieces are there except Emacs can't be placed on the layer where launchers are supposed to appear. Can the layer shell protocol be implemented using a dynamic module? Or would it require changes in the Emacs C source? (Not that I am capable to implementing either of the two options since I never learned any C.)
