As to the need to be following: that doesn't really make sense, if I open a profile to get only some 5 random posts diplayed to me. Or none at all. An when opening a post, not to get all the other replies displayed to you. Maybe the topic I want to discuss has been discussed already, but I can only see it if I open the post on the original instance. This is ridiculous functionality. Or rather dysfunctionality.
