It came packaged safely and securely, and arrived exactly on time, since I got a tracking number when it shipped.
The reason for the delay in this review is simply due to the time it took to write it.
Hodl butter has five ingredients: pecans, maple sugar, sea salt, cinnamon and black pepper. Nothing mysterious, and nothing that sounds like a substance one might use to clean fuel injectors.
I can honestly say that each of the ingredients in Hodl butter is safe to consume on its own.Try reading an ingredient list on pretty much any boxed or canned food item and see if you’d feel safe consuming each ingredient on its own.
With that said, we begin the flavor excursion that is hodl butter.
I stuck a knife in and gave it a try straight away and was amazed at the complexity that five ingredients produce.
Hodl butter is not overwhelmingly sweet, possessing a welcome mildness which allows the warm spice of cinnamon to mingle gently with the hint of sea salt and black pepper.
In point of fact, the most olfactorily notable quality to hodl butter is the comforting tone of cinnamon which greets the nose even before the palette, an unexpectedly warm scent.
I had been planning to bake a few loaves of rustic sourdough bread, and it happened that my hodl butter arrived on the day that I had gotten my starter (the most time-intensive ingredient in homemade bread) from a friend who bakes as a hobby. She had completed the multiple-days-long process of “feeding” the starter for me before driving it over.
I baked two loaves of sourdough bread, cut a piece, added a dollop of hodl butter, and gave it a try. I cannot recommend hodl butter highly enough, as it pairs perfectly with homemade bread.
Having confirmed its deliciousness both as a solo snack and a topping for bread, I added a little bit of local apiary honey as well. Top scientists agree that hodl butter and honey is as satisfying as a 360 high-five after a flight in an F-14 while listening to “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins.
I bought this jar of hodl butter, with sats, directly from the person who made it, packaged it, and shipped it to me. I understood and could pronounce all of its ingredients. It smells and tastes expensive, but it’s affordable and accessible.
Order it on shopstr. I don’t earn anything by telling you how awesome it is. But I’m definitely gonna be getting more when I run out so I can make more recipes with it.
