Third, it contradicts direct words of Belloc about European roots being Mediterranean (which is true). Finally, Belloc was a Catholic, it would be weird to expect him to demand a return to Orthodoxy; but, him being a learned man, it would not be surprising for him to demand a return to the Greco-Roman legacy, which is fully preserved in Orthodoxy as it encapsulates Eastern Roman spirit and tradition.
