If I may, I must mention you can do this already on your own, through Astral Projection. I am not kidding, you can leave your body. It requires training, or if you get lucky and have a sleep paralysis and stay calm, you will eventually leave your body. Then you're free to go where you want to go.
My desire to meet a physical alien would be to see what kind of technology they have and how their planet looks like and their history. But since they haven't shown up until now, I think they don't want contact. I wonder why that is.
