I was telling a younger, male friend about the many polycrises I'm dealing with. He did a good job with his response overall, better than I expected (I was braced for condescension & mansplaning), but then ended with "I hope it gets better".

Stop saying things like this. It's about centering your comfort over others' reality. It make people feel unheard. It's not good. 1/n
